Regarding Dynamic Values
Have a query regarding DYNAMIC VALUE CREATION.I have recorded a script that creates User for an applicatoin. After Submiting the form on to the URL a random ID is appended that generated by the application(dynamically). Now if by running the script I want to create say '10' users i parameterized the whole script. But then the ID is random and unpredictable. What do i do??
If i use the web_create_html_param function it only helps me get the ID from the existing URL.Since the URL i recorded first is for an 'x' user it has an ID associated with it.SO when i create a 'Y' user using VirtualUser..it throws an error..
Re: Regarding Dynamic Values
You can use the correlation functions and try to capture the dynamically generated value somewhere in the script before its used in the URL that is submitted. May be you are not capturing it at the right position. Say for example if your application creates users, then the application should generate the ID when you access the data entry form which is submitted to create the user if I am not wrong.
You can also try using the Automatic correlation option in recording options.
