I am load testing a web application. Response times are very poor and therefore we are installing an agent on the web server (as start). Vu_verify runs without errors on that machine and commands 'chown root anpt' and 'chmod +s anpt' have been executed.
The webserver is Solaris 8.0. We have two web servers but there are NO agent processes running on the server we connect to (and where we installled the loadrunner software). What should I do ? start anpt ? does not work. Or does the agent start when I launch the users ? Network monitor in controller is configured from the host to the webserver. Or is there something else I forgot ?
It sounds as though you need to start your SNMP agent on your Solaris box? Speak to your Solaris admin, you do need to have this running and will be able to watch the monitors 'running' even when you are not running a test.

In fact the CPU Online Monitors run fine, and there are two SNMP processes running, but still no network delay graphs. 'No Data Available for Graph Network Monitor segment Graph' etc. All the other graphs I can open just like that except network monitor.
Licence should be ok (mentioned in About is Network Delay so ...).
To all loadrunner wizards out there, please help me out ! I now see all kinds of network messages in the output window, and still I get that horrible message 'no data found for network monitor graph'. What is going wrong?
In the log attached, you can see vu_verify does not run fine when the host is added as a parameter. So I guess our core problem is that when running rsh 'host', I receive 'host unknown'. When I run rsh 'ApplicationServer'
there is no problem. Can I do network monitoring from a NT host to a SOLARIS web server ???
