Scheduling - batch properties
I'm using scheduling/batch properties and I need to ramp up 50 users per second, so I thank I could have 50 users running after 50 seconds... Initialization of the entire group vusers is done before running.
I check the Vusers status log & graph and I notice that there was not 1 second between 2 batchs
execution but 3, 4 seconds and even more. In fact, quite a random value...
Is that normal or may I have to modify any parameter ?
I check for any other answers in the forum but I can't get a clear one...
Re: Scheduling - batch properties
If you ask the same question at Mercury Technical support, the answer you would get is "The scheduler does'nt ramp up the users as specified if you try to ramp up any number of users below 5 secs" They mean to say that there is a +/- 5 secs deviation . So if you ramp up 1 user every 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 secs, still they may ramp up 1 every 4-6 secs or so.
I did a research with mercury techinical guys and we came to this conclusion finally after they had their R&D team research on this (+/- 5secs deviation). But any number of users ramped above 5 secs should be alright.
There is one option in scheduler. If you go to Edit--> Default Settings-->Under scheduler settings--> Update frequency will be by default 5 secs. You can change this to 1 or 2 secs and see the difference. But this even does'nt work much. Good Luck anyways. Thanks
