Load Testing Of Modules
User (firstname.lastname@example.org) posted:
I plan to test some enhancement modules on an IBM RS/6000 machine.
It would be something like a stress test. Also I need to test the
whole system performance as to how the system performs. Has anyone
performed load testing on IBM RS/6000. If so, could you please give
me some guidances as to how to proceed with the test. Also , does
loadrunner supports mac clients, can I install loadrunner on mac
machines. Also can i load test a particular module, for eg. if it is
a login module, can I get the results of this particular module.
Thanks and regards,

Re: Load Testing Of Modules
Any process with a sockets interface can certainly be tested using LoadRunner Winsock users residing on a number of platforms.
It might help to know more about the load you are trying to achieve, is it more of a functional stress nature, overloading the machine with a number of applications running on it? Is it overloading a particular process? etc....
I have used loadrunner in the past to telnet into a host from another host and kick off processes until telnet effectively died (no response).......
