I talked to them this morning with little help from them. He said I

    Cookie Usage

    User (rheitzig@carlson.com) posted:

I'm having difficulty dealing with the way cookies are handled within
Loadrunner. I'm pretty new to the tool so maybe I'm missing
something. The start-page of the web-site I'm testing is a
coldfusion page which prompts the user for a user-id and password.
Several pages into the site, when viewing reports using our reporting
tool (Actuate), Actuate looks for this cookie to authenticate the
user into it's encyclopedia. Shortly after I enter the Actuate
portion, however, I get the "Network Logon" screen popping up (in
    the "Run-Time Viewer" anyway).

I appear to be authenticated anyway since a later page still shows
part of the report in the Viewer, but would like some understanding
on why the Network logon comes up (this is exactly the screen I'm
looking to eliminate using the cookie approach). I've tried
doing "text checks" to ensure I actually get to the page following
the error but the execution log simply says "Skipping the check Text
Check" for whatever reason. Is it too much to ask to be able to
watch the script execute and see the results??

I had this exact same problem while using LR 6.5. We used cookies to
authenticate the user's redirection to another server. During replay in
Vugen, I was being directed to a logon page that was transparent during
recording. Eventually this caused a problem, so I contacted MI tech help -
they provided me with a patch. If you are using 6.5, I would encourage
getting all pertinent patches, or upgrading to 7.0.

If you are having this issue w/ 7.0, I would look at the client/server
traffic via the extended logs, specifically at the point of redirection.
