I wrote a script in VUGEN app to do a load test against our web
server. When I invoke a controller app from vugen app I have a
choice to add multiple vugen users. The problem I am having is
exactly that. Our webserver has the session incorporated into the
logic so that no user can login more than once at any given time. I
can add (I think up to 25?) as many vugne users as I can but when
each script starts, they are all starting from the same parameter
list which contains the user id and password (because they are
basically all from one script) and I end up getting error messages
from the webserver saying "login denied" because each script always
starts from the 1st user id and password. Is there anyway I can
perform a load testing using a same script but differnt users? or
Can some one tell me how to do that? I'm fairly new to this load
runner and right now have no clue on the scenario/controller....
Yes. In the parameter's options window there is the option "Select next row:" the options are sequential (default), Random, Unique, and Same line as
_(name of parameter)_ You want to select unique option for the username or userid and for the password you want to select Same line as (whatever you named the username field).
That should fix your problem. Let me know if you need more help.
I figure if you have the courage to get out of bed in the morning, then how bad can the day be.
