    Re: Database testing by loadrunner

I know because I'm doing it at the moment.

Record a client application which sends the SQL statments to the database. (Pick ODBC or Oracle 2 Tier)

You'll notice LoadRunner behaves differently. Some features you usually use in Web are disabled.

You will need to do some parameterization. Look at the SQL statments and figure which things need parameters.

Then you will need Corrolation. Figure which values are returned by the server like Keys etc... and corrolate them.

    Re: Database testing by loadrunner

    Hi AJ,

    I have some queries

    1) Is it that we have to fire SQL queries with the help of Client application
(Is it database client [like Oracle client] or AUT to be load tested ?

    2) Recording on Oracle Client, works fine. But surprisingly on ACCESS97, it showed following lines on output window:
    ___________________________________________
    ODBC Inspector DLL (32-Bit Edition)
    Date/Time: 2001-06-06 11:51:28
    ___________________________________________

and did not record anything in action section. Is there any way out?

    Thanks in advance.
