ODBC recording error
Have an client 2-tier application using ODBC DB2 driver. Application team set up the client on the VuGen machine. Works fine manually.
But in recording (as Administrator) the events go up to 13 then when press stop (login/logout script) nothing gets generated and the following error message is in the output log window: Error: Failed to open c:\temp3\odbc9\data\odbc9.ibf
We recorded same application with 12.02 a few months ago with no problem. Anyone have any ideas?
forgot to say - running LR12.50
How about we try with a control element (or two) to see if this is global environmental or just the particular driver.

Next, move to a different ODBC client. Assuming you have microsoft office installed, one of the applets is MSQUERY. This is an ODBC query interface. Try this with your DB2 Driver.
As another control point, try recordng DB2 natively as the ODBC driver will decompose a native DB2 client at the bottom of the ODBC DB2 driver (architecturally).
Also, has this installation on this host every been successful at recording ODBC? You have mentioned success with an earlier version of LoadRunner with this application, but it is unclear is that success was on this host or another host.

No, I think I have re-imaged my workstation since I recorded ODBC last, and we have since upgraded LR. My team-mates all get the same error. Note: I have to run as an admin to install on my machine, but have lower rights when I record. I have tried recording with elevated rights, but still no luck.
BTW, you have not helped me before - but thanks for all of the help you have given me as solutions to other member's questions over these many-many years that you have been on these boards.
I would record as admin. That it continually fails since a reimage suggests that something is amiss. Do you have a workstation which has not been reimaged as a check point?
