Can Selenium scripts be used to replace Vugen scripts for load test executions?
I got a requirement to use the selenium scripts for performance execution. I got an article which say how to execute it.
But wanted to know the following:
whether we can use selenium scripts instead of LR Vugen scripts?
Is that selenium works for multiple users testing?
Will the selenium works based on request/response model similar to Vugen scripts?
Will the selenium transaction response time is similar/equivalent to vugen transaction response times?
Please help me with appropriate examples for the above questions as I am very new to selenium.
Thanks in advance.
The use of graphical virtual users for all load is state of the art as of 1992/3. We have progressed since then as an industry. A graphical virtual user model is offered for LoadRunner, which is based upon QuickTest Professional. It is not intended to be a solution for 100% of your load. It is intended to be run for a handful of users to determine the3 "weight" of the gui between the time the information is received from the server, such as Login_HTTP, and the time the full information/change is present at the end user gui, such as the completion of Login_GUI
If you are new to Selenium, spend time becoming an automated functional testing expert. Performance testing requires a superset of skills beyond that of an automated functional tester which you have not yet mastered.
