LR script to collect vmstat using plink
I have developed LR script (courtesy of Start Moncrief www.myloadtest.com) which basically uses plink to connect to the AIX servers to collect vmstat data and plot them as user defined points.
Once I registered the rsa keys in cache manually on my laptop, the script works fine i.e. collect stats.
Before running on Performance Centre, I executed the same script on the injector from vugen where I am supposed to eventually run it and it works fine. Followed the same practice of registering the keys in cache for first use.
The problem is - when I try to run it from Performance Centre as a scenario, the script fails...when i displayed the buffer, it seems that when the script tries to connect, it's still asking to register the keys prompt.
Has anyone faced similar issue and have any resolution? I am not sure if the keys have to be registered using a particular user which PC might use to connect Controller to the Injector (just a thought)...
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Although I never done it I assume this is a symptom of the keys being registered in the user profile rather than in a system wide location (which makes sense considering we're talking about keys here!).
So, find out what user runs the Loadrunner Agent service on your injector (have a look at the Properties for the Loadrunner Agent service in services.msc). Log in as that user and execute your Vugen script and register your keys when prompted. This should prepare the plink/putty settings in that user's profile for further use so you can execute it using Performance Center.
Why would you not leverage your included SiteScope license to sign into the remote system vis SSH and collect the data while the test is running?
