Has anyone load tested Oracle RPM (Retail Pricing Management) UI before? We are planning to perf test RPM 13.2 with LR 11.52.
Anyone has got prior experience with RPM, any protocol suggestions will be useful.
HP suggested Citrix or Java record and reply as the possible protocols to script RPM. We are currently moving ahead with the Citrix option however for the upcoming releases (100+ users), the plan is to start using Java record and reply protocol.
LR is recording the application flow while using Java rec reply protocol. However the reply throws an error
Few years ago, I attended a call with Oracle RPM Product Management team to discuss how it is tested internally. As far as I know, they have built custom Java code as a starting *plugin* to use it along with LoadRunner for performance testing. Even that is not fully supported. HP suggests only Citrix or QTP with Loadrunner. I see customers using only these approaches for RPM testing. Java RPC approach is vague and inconsistent.
If you see Oracle RPM from a business perspective, it won't be used by several users. At the max for a very large organization that does lot of pricing and modeling, the concurrency could be from 1 to 5. Validate/Challenge the requirements. You may not need LoadRunner in that case
