    Max size of web_submit_data ITEMDATA

    Hello, does anyone know the maximum size of the ITEMDATA that "web_submit_data" supports? I have 10010 ITEMDATA entries (each about 90 bytes) and get a compilation error. Also, and perhaps more importantly, does anybody know if there are any config options that might extend this limit. I guess I could split the command into 2 commands but that would defeat some of the objectives of the test. Thanks Hugely

    You will likely want to turn to a web_custom_request() for this one request. If history holds, a web_submit_date() with that number of named value pairs is likely built up dynamically from the results returned from a prior request. As you change your business process data, logins, etc.., the number of named value pairs will change directly to the inputs up to this point. IN such a case you would need to switch to a web_custom_request() to handle the dynamic elements anyway. The extra benefit is that this should provide an extra benefit if the compilation error is directly related to the number of named value pairs on your form.

    You may want to speak to the developers as well. My guess is that the majority of these items are hidden and likely result from some default setting in the developer toolkit they are using. If they can reduce the number of named value pairs being sent then this buys you resource benefits in a number of areas
    * Client memory
    * Client and server network bandwidth
    * Server CPU
    * Server Memory

    Food for thought....
