Been awhile for me, what have I missed - going from LR 8.1 to 11
Okay, know I'm going to get some crap for this. But what new features/changes do I need to be aware of with the latest version of LR. I last touched it about 4 years ago with LR9.5 for a demo, last did a real project with 8.1 in early 2008.
Looking to get back into it. Want to make sure I'm not too rusty.
Yo! I know how to read the fracking manual. I asked a simple straight forward question.
I don't have the most recent manuals and was asking for a little friendly advice from the forum. So thank you for the non-response.
Anyone else with a smarmy response???
Could have responded with this link: http://www.sqaforums.com/showflat.ph...an=&page=&vc=1
But again, Google is my best friend. Finally got the query right.
Anybody else with some additional insights on the new functionality? I'm going to pull down the demo and look it over, just got to get VPC on my Win7Pro box.
lol. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Aside from your core skills getting dusted off, one of the biggest things I can think of is the introduction of using regular expressions for LB & RB on correlations.

My concern is some of the structural changes in functions/commands in scripts and other new functionality to be aware of. The controller shouldn't have changed too much from what I understand already. Guess the Goal Oriented Scenario functionality has improved too.
I'll see. Got a potential project that is talking to me right now. Just don't want to sound like a complete idiot in the interview. I can nail the project level stuff (I've done Load/Perf projects from top to bottom) and most of the basic VuGen & Controller stuff, but if someone comes up with some obscure item I'm in trouble. But again if they ask the obscure crap they are just being a jerk in my book.
Anyway... we'll see. I would like to get back into doing a Perf project with Loadrunner.
Hey, old timer, welcome back!
In addition to all of the usual minor tweaks and fixes, there's a new protocol called TruClient. UI based, everything is done by the browser. Works great. The downside? A MUCH larger vuser footprint for RAM and CPU.
