I have a question on correlating a value that appears multiple times in the server response in tree view. If the value displays multiple time in the response log, which boundary values do I need to pick?
Thank you. In the script there is couple of places where loader time stamp values were recorded in epoch time format. In both places time stamp values were deferent. For correlating these values I am not able to identify the time stamp values in the previous requests in tree view. However, I was able to find the value in the generation log but not in the replay log. I tried to correlate the value but the boundaries are not identifying during the replay. Do I need to correlate these values? Is there any way to capture these values?
Thanking for your suggestion.I am running the script in extended log mode and searching for the boundaries.
This is a myTime application from Workforce which has a lot of dinamic numbers in a very huge web_custom_requests.Form looks like an excel with different paycodes and scheduled work hours for employees.
I am still working on the script and trying to correlate all these values.
If after you recorded the script there are sections that send the epoch timestamp to the server, I think the easiest approach is what LGH suggested: Use web_save_timestamp_param to create the timestamp yourself and send it to the server and forget about correlating it.
There was a recent thread about timestamps similar to your issue that might also assist:
Use correlation function so as to get the timestamp values as well in the correlated parameter. You should be able to define RB and LB accordingly. Then use lr_save_searched_string() to extract the value you are looking for.
If you are using timestamp in boundaries then it will be different in each run and won't be identified in subsequent runs. You need to either generate timestamp, put it as a parameter in the applicable RB/LB of the correlation function. This should also solve your query.
