I have a web base application, in a one workflow it should click on a button which download and open an excel file, we need to update some columns in that excel file and then upload it back.....I tried the web/http & win socket nothing works when it comes to download & open & upload excel file, any suggestion?
I know the basic thing is to check if there is any communication between the client & server when downloading and opening and uploading the excel file, but this client is very strict to security and installing any application, so forget wireshock or any thing similar...please help
Create the file(s) first and then 'Add files to script' and do it that way.
The server will then recieve the updated excel spreadsheet and it obviously doesn't care how it got updated.
The download and upload will be separate in the code so you don't need to worry about recording the 'Download modify upload' you can just record the 'download' and then have a differnt set of files already modified and then do the 'upload'.
Thanks everyone for taking the time to help you....interesting i found click/script actually recorded the download and upload, still just updating excel which as LoadRunner421 suggested i can just bypass it by creating files already....I will try that approache, thanks everyone
