    Hi All,
Can anyone please share their experience regarding LoadRunner script development for PingIdentity (Federated Access Management Solution)?

    Thanks in advance...

Re: Need help on LR script for Ping Identity

    Hi All,

In order to narrow down some response I am providing some additional info:

I am conducting a Proof of concept to identify if Simulating load for a vendor designed Single Sign On solution is possible or not.

My objective is to develop a LoadRunner script which emulates communication from a AD(active directory) authenticated machine's(windows OS) browser to the Single Sign On activity rendering server(vendor solution).

Some inputs from people who have done similar excercises would be highly appreciated....

    AJ,

You have a post count of two. This is worrying, not because you're a QAF newbie, but because it might imply that you're an LR newbie. If that's the case, then we need to know about your background in order to help you most effectively.

    With that in mind:

    1. Have you received formal training with LR?

    2. How many LR projects have you worked?

    3. Have you benefited from an experienced mentor working with you on some of your projects?

    4. What's your general technical background?
Unless you are writing a compiler, strtok is NOT the answer.

@ptrussell_nc, your prompt conlusion is not appreciated.

FYI, I have over 6 + years of performance and operability testing experience mostly on online systems developed on J2EE and .Net.
I posted twice to get some meaningful feedbacks as my project is time sensensitive.
Simulation of load for infrastructure related perf testing is complicated than usual application level.
I am well aware of this fact.
Anyways if anyone can help with some advice- it would be great.

Re: Need help on LR script for Ping Identity

    AJ,

A quick search on Google found some info on the Pingidentity.com forums:

    https://www.pingidentity.com/support/ans...40000000KzQBAA0

There's a sample JMeter script there for PingFederate - is this the same product you're working with? If so, and JMeter can be used to simulate this type of user, then you can bet LoadRunner will also be able to support it.

    Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully now that you have found it you will be one of our contributors!

I am sorry that you were even a little offended by what I wrote. I actually tried to be as diplomatic as possible!

What you may not be aware of if you aren't an avid reader here is the number of posts that sounds like this:

(First post from username) "I've just been assigned a Lode Ruiner project. It's a simple web site. I have attached a record that I have done. Can someone tell me what to correlate and how? And I need this A-S-A-P (Russell is hopefully smart enough to avoid the filter that will trap our new poster.)"
