I am facing issues with IE while launching our application through LoadRunner while recording. I am recording a web based application, using HTTP protocol. When we start recording and launch IE, IE crashes, and I am unable to record anything. This is seen very frequently, but not every time. The page, however, launches successfully while doing this manually.
I am using LR11 (with Patch 3 applied) and IE8. I have tried clearing cache and restarting LR, but it still gives this issue.
Please Help me on same.
Thanks In Advance!!!!
Are all your versions in conformance with specification?
O/S? O/S - 32v64?
If so, and Vugen is crashing you may need to get HP involved.
There is one more thing that you can try.
Normally IE fires as part of the record process. There is a way to set it so that LR actually acts as a proxy where IE doesn't know that it's not hitting the web site directly. Vugen then effectively steals the information out of the stream. (I have seen this used but have not yet attempted it myself.)
It may be also that you need the really hard answer of "get a sniffer and intercept the traffic" and manually build the calls.
1. Disable DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION (DEP)
2. If you are using WinInet recording, try Socket Level (port mapping)
3. Ensure you have disabled TABBED browsing in IE8 before recording (in general LR takes care of this while launching the browser)
