Script development with LoadRunner Recording Gaps?
I am using LoadRunner 11 with Web[HTTP/HTML] protocol On an applications heavy with client side processing (ex:AJAX,java script) at times it so happens that not all recorded steps will have code generated with Web[HTTP/HTML] protocol in LoadRunner..For some of our use cases the mandatory intermediate steps aren't getting recorded.I tried to use Httpwatch without much success(intent was to see if I can generate web_custom_requests based on the HttpWatch recording). If possible please throw some light on What would be the best way to tackle such situations with Web[HTTP/HTML] protocol.I know there is a new protocol AJAX Truclient but seems like its browser specific and we have option for only Web[HTTP/HTML] protocol.Appreciate any inputs.
Re: Script development with LoadRunner Recording Gaps?
For applications with thick client side processing (esp Java script), you can easily fix the issues by reading the java scripts in the returned pages. You can also instruct LR to run java scripts in the returned page without using coordinates to identify objects in methods like image_link &text_link.
