HP Tru Client Browser Issue

Hi,

Is there any possiblity to change browser to be used for application in "Tru Client" protocol?
By default, Mozilla Firefox is being invoked.I need to change it to Microsoft IE. Recording options seems to be disabled by default. (Attached Screenshot for reference)

Any workarounds for this? Suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Regards,
Mahesh.S

wait until LR12 - I believe that tru client support for IE9 is scheduled to be included!

until then it's Firefox or use another protocol

Mahesh

what are your reasons for wanting to use tru client over regular web?

why do you need IE support as opposed to Firefox?

Re: HP Tru Client Browser Issue

Mahesh,

Why do you need to record the app in IE? Will it only load if the browser user agent is showing as IE?

If so, there's an add-in for Firefox which allows you to change the user agent being reported - I haven't tried this personally but it might work depending on your requirements.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...gent-switcher/

I believe there's also an add-in which lets you run IE in a Firefox tab, however I am unsure if this would be compatible with LR11/TruClient.

Hope this helps.

I've used the agent switcher to pretend to be an iPhone before... works fine!

Re: HP Tru Client Browser Issue

Thanks Prez & Jim. Let me try to work with agent switcher and update for result.

Actually, for our test application some links were missing when we browse application using Mozilla instead of IE. Attached screen shots for reference. Thats why i was keen to record app using IE.

Regards,
Mahesh

saharinivas, could you install "User-agent-switcher" addon in LR's FireFox ?
As I remember, addons are disabled for firefox in LR..
Feel free to be unique
