We have a request to load test the performance between a desktop application and its server but I don't think we have the right protocol.
The app will actually reside on a server with a shortcut on the desktop. It is written in C#.Net and communicates with an SQL database.
Our protocols are basic...we have the Web and Multimedia, Remote Access and the SOA Bundles.
I have seen where some people claim to have scripted using the Web based protocol by selecting the Win32 Application option on the start screen. I tried that and it seemed to recorded actions but it did not really script anything.
If anyone has tried this before and has ideas I would greatly appreciate some help. If it cannot be done, is anyone aware of an application that will script the application and then be imported and converted into LoadRunner?
How does the app communicates with the server? Is it only HTTP?
Is file "lrw_custom_body.h" created after scsripting is complete? Check for it in the left pane - vuser_init, Action, vuser_end, globals.h are present.
