Aborting all Users ,If one user fails.
I was scripting one tricky senario using Loadrunner 9.50,and need your input or suggestion for same
Here is my senario,
i have 2 Vusers running in controller ,if my first user fails and gets aborted ,then i want to to make User 2 tog et fail and aborted forcibally.
here is some detials
lr_whoami(&id, &vuser_group, &scid);
if (id == 1)
//execute some requests req1
(need somelogic where i can make sure if user1 fails in req1 then i can abort both users.)
//execute remaining script req2
if user1 fails in if condition then i can abort the user1
once user1 gets aborted then user should also get abort.
Hope you got my senario,
Re: Aborting all Users ,If one user fails.
The question becomes one of notification of the other users. If this is an unexpected abort of the virtual user, then it is unlikely that any user so impacted would be able to provide a notification item for the other users to consider. On the other hand, if this is a program controlled, expected abort of a user execution then the user so impacted can create a flag for the others users to consider, such as a file named "stop.stop" located in a specific directory which would be common to all users across all generators.
In such a case as the file (with as little as one byte) existing, the other users would need to check for file existence and then issue a "return -1" which kills the user.
