alternative method of capturing a transaction time
I am working with an application where the one request returns data from several sources. Normally when capturing a transaction timing, I'd wrap the call in the transaction method start and end functions, however in this case I'd like to measure individual returned responses from the one call - is this possible and where should I start looking?
2.1 .Net will be used but isn't the main focus.
2.2 .NET 3.5 and 4.0

9. XP sp 2 on the clients. Red Hat 9 EL on the servers.
Re: alternative method of capturing a transaction time
Start with URL Mode and see if you can time the individual page elements. If that doesn't work then you will probably have to go through the logs for the servers to see when data is being returned to the server and then building mock datapoints from the differences in log timestamps. (I find Microsoft Logparser very helpful for the log analysis and mock datapoint generation)
