Regular Expression support for Web HTML/HTTP: Regular expressions can now be used with the web_reg_save_param function to locate parameter boundaries. We’re really excited about this new feature, regular expressions have been a glaring omission from the Web protocol for power scripters; but not anymore!

# Oracle NCA improvements: A new query-answer table integrates communications between Java objects and the Oracle NCA server.
Generally, the current LoadRunner components do not work with earlier versions of PC. Why (you might ask)...because PC actually had a quite major re-write in this version.
As we move forward through time, we are trying to keep forward compatibility so that your testing assets (scripts, scenarios, results) will continue to be working with at least the functionality that you are using in those scripts.
As we add new capability and features, in some cases it might be an option that you regenerate the vuser script in order to make use of the new features...like the Data Format Extensions or the new Correlation enhancements.
With new virtual users, you will obviously not have any previous script written (because it didn't exist before). I hate to state the obvious, but we do get asked that question.
Enjoy the new release! We're very excited about it!
Regex for WRSP is a move in the right direction... but what I would really like to see them do is allow you to send the data you want parsed to WRSP.
We ended up writing our own version of WRSP that allowed us to do it. Useful when you have a page with many blocks on data that look the same (ex. web Option blocks). We grab all the Option block with a WRSP Ord=All, then pass each one to our function to chop it down into individual items we want. It would be MUCH easier if HP would just give us the ability to pass a block of test to WRSP.
