Virtual users per box
I've been trying to find or come up with some kind of formula for calculating what is the reasonable amount vu's on any given load generator.
Something that would include cpu, memory,system, type of test etc.
What are you guys using right now?
I've usually looked at the system resource of any given box & execution to see how I can scale it, but it would be nice to have something more concrete than this. Especially if you are in planning phase and haven't done any execution yet.
Re: Virtual users per box
There are a lot of variables
* CPU - Speed, Pentium/AMD, single/dual/quadruple core
* Script protocol
* Other processes running on generator
Best bet is to document what's worked successfully and plan from there.
