Recording Progress/Status bar for any transaction
I am using Web (HTTP/HTML) protocol with URL recording on a web application. There is a certain action (consolidate data) that opens up a pop up and displays the progress (% complete) while it sends request to server. Once the progress is 100% complete, the pop up closes and refreshes the original screen in background with status = OK.
I tried to add web_reg_find for OK after my recording but during replay, the action (consolidate data) opens up the pop up and stops at a certain point (50%, 63% etc) each time I try to run.
Any suggestions on how to work around this?
Re: Recording Progress/Status bar for any transaction
Most probably the pop up is a "time waster" ..i.e delay the user by showing some client side activity... . If it is actually sending http requests while it is being displayed in the foreground, then You will have to find that request and put it in a loop. But if its just there and sends a refresh request at the end of the progress bar, then calculate the time and simulate it.
Plus from what I understand, you are depending on the Run Time Browser to verify if your script works or not. the RTB is not a true browser and anything it displays during your replay ... welll its a nice thing to have.. but dont bet your life on it...
