What you will want to be very careful of is that if you are introducing extra queries to dynamically either create or confirm data that these extra queries are not producing an extra load which distorts the response time behavior of your system. Unfortunately extra queries like this are rarely optimized in their execution and historically tend to distort more than the benefit they bring during the test.
Russell brings up a great point regarding pre-staging of data. This then represents a known data set and a control point that can be checked at the end of the test to see if the transformation of the data matches the expected result!
