I am trying to record a web based application using loadrunner 9.5. this page has got AJAX all over. I am using web(HTTP/HTML) protocol.
Lodrunner records all submits buttons as web_custom_request.
the problem I am having with this is I am not able to co-relate within this. I have co-related the viewstate and event validation but still it gives me an error in the view results. this error has got an error id. when I look at the log for that page with that error ID it says "AJAX caught error on : Invalid length for a Base-64 char array".
can anyone explain what is this.
I try to use AJAX(click and Script) but the script fails at the same point. and AJAX click and script does not give me enough freedom to view whats happening and capture stuff.
Automatic correlation is a lot like having a gun loaded with silver bullets. On the odd occasion where you encounter a werewolf or a vampire then the silver is very useful, otherwise it is just a gun with really expensive bullets. I guess this is a circular way of suggesting that unless you write the rule and understand completely what the rule is doing, then the odds that the rule will provide a false sense of security are quite high.
This is why automatic correlation is the last correlation method covered in the training class.
