Analysis-user numbers for a specific transaction?

Okay, in my 5 years of performance testing, I can't believe I've never been asked to do this, even though it seems so simple, yet I can't figure out for the life of me the best way to present this information in the analysis tool:

How do I generate a graph that relates the performance for a specific transaction (among a set of randomized transactions) based on the number of users running that <i>specific </i>transaction at a given time?

    Here's an example:
I have a script that randomly calls one of 10 actions for a user, each action may have 5 - 10 transactions, so there is no real correlation between number of users running and how hard one specific transaction is getting hit. The "User Performance under load" appears to only monitor how many vusers are running as a whole for a specific timestamp, instead of performance for number of users running a single, specific transaction.

    Am I wrong on this?

If not, is there any way in the context of the analysis tool to determine how many users were running a specific transaction at a given point in the run?

Re: Analysis-user numbers for a specific transaction?

I believe that there is a way to do this:

Open your Transaction Response Time Under Load Graph.

Hit the Set Filter/Group By Icon at the top (not global)

On the Average Response Time Tab, go to transaction response time and grab the transaction that you want.

Go to the Running Users Tab.

Choose the group name of the script (or group names).

    Hit OK

This should filter by the transaction and users running your script.

Re: Analysis-user numbers for a specific transaction?

That's closer to what I'm looking for, but is there any way to determine how many vusers were running a particular transaction at a specific time range during the run?

The filter listed above gives the performance of the transaction under particular loads, but not how many vusers were running a particular transaction at a specific time during the run.

Re: Analysis-user numbers for a specific transaction?

-Set lowest granularity for ‘Avg. transaction response time’
    -Export raw data to spreadsheet
    -Use data – auto filter
-Filter data on transaction and then on time period you want
    -Compute users using VuseID column

Useful info... Never thought this could actually be computed.
