this might be a stupid question. But i am confused, so please help me.
I don't know anything abt. LR except that it is a good load testing tool. but want to learn how to use it.
so can you tell the preferred order in which the books available with LR should be read....
as there are 4 book viz.
1. LR controller's user guide
2. LR monitor reference
3. LR analysis user' guide
4. Virtual user generator's guide
other then these books,if there is any thing else that i have to learn for LR then mention it.
I would add a couple of items for foundation work before you get started with LoadRunner
Andrew Tanenbaum, Computer Networks
Andrew Tanenbaum, Modern Operating Systems
E.F.Codd, The Relational Model for Database Management
Dan Gookin, C for Dummies
Meri Williams, The Principals of Project Management
After you get somewhat of a primer with the reading, I'd highly suggest going to at least one instructor lead training program. Books and on-line help just don't fill in all the knowledge gaps, for me at least. Also, a mentor or someone you could ping questions off of would be a good idea too.
This forum is generally for more advanced questions/issues and those who do not have a grasp on the LR basics will find this forum a fairly difficult place to be.
