    get the dynamic value

    Hi All,

    In my application want to parameterize one value genetaion from database., but problem is itís an increment value by 1 so I used Ird_save_ret_param function to get that value but it does not work. In the record generation log it show

    \n
    headerId=28644;\n
    \n

    In here I put my function as
    web_reg_save_param("Auto_ID", "LB=headerId=", "RB=" ,LAST);

    but this gave an error ďNo match found for the requested parameter "Auto_ID".

    If any one know the way of doing this please tell me. thanks

    Regards,
    Amila

    Amila,

    Welcome to the site! As Jake indicates, you have not followed the correct posting instructions. This is a prerequisite for getting help on this site.

    However, there is another prerequisite. And that is your company ensuring that you have proper training or a strong mentor. In all likelihood the answer to your question is covered in training. Unfortunately, this site is not an interactive training site.

    The first step in your road to LR success is get training or gain the benefit of an experienced mentor. If your management or your customer for this work do not understand this, please feel free to direct them here, and we will happily enlighten them.
    Unless you are writing a compiler, strtok is NOT the answer.
