You would need to contact HP with this question. I am not sure they would be willing to reveal proprietary information about the inner workings of Correlation Studio.

    Hi Vamshi,

Out of curiosity, why do you need that info?

    Re: working of correlation

Very simple. Check the autocorrelation rules. When ever Loadrunner do autocorrelation it reads a XML library. Find it in Loadrunner\dat\....
LB RB are predefined there. Go and check it out!!

    Re: working of correlation

Jagdeep, I'm not so sure it is that simple since the poster asked, "know how the load runner will identify the values which are to be correlated when we do automatic correlation". Perhaps you are correct. Yet to me this is asking for the implementation details. Perhaps the poster will clarify??

    Re: working of correlation

Well, does the original poster mean "correlation studio" or automatic correlation from the 'HTTP-Properties: Correlation' tab in the Recording Options window? Hmm.

Frankly I think the former is buggy voodoo but the latter is very helpful and obvious how it works as Jaggy pointed out.

    Re: working of correlation

Automagic correlation is like having a gun loaded with silver bullets. It works best in the rare occasion when you encounter a vampire or werewolf.

When was the last time you encountered a vampire or werewolf?

    Exactly.....
