Assuming you do this comparison I for one would be interested in your results and opinions. You don't need to reply with specific dollar ammounts but percentages would be most useful, when combined with evaluation methodology.
But I am thinking that a dedicated hardware/software solution will most often be more expensive than a software-only solution. At least for most products.
They are designed to address different questions, one is a business level answer, the other a technical (throughput) level answer. IT iq quite telling to note that Avalanche can be directly integrated into a LR test, something that would not be true if this were to be considered a direct competitor product.
