    Hello All

I have a .Net application with a lot of viewstate, eventvalidation and previous page correlations.

The application flow is to view certain reports created using Dundas Charts - ASP . Net Enterprise edition.

I am using the login part and logout in vuser_init() and vuser_end() functions.

For each of init(), action() and end() I am using web_set_max_html_param_len() separately.

I am getting follwing error in action:

Error: Exception was raised when calling event-notify Vuser function in extension run_time_context.dll: System Exceptions: EXCEPTION_STACK_OVERFLOW

This error comes every time whenever the script reaches a particular correlation. I suspected its a memory issue with my local machine but investigations showed ample free memory.

    Please share your experience.

    Regards,
    Xhings

    Re: System Exceptions: EXCEPTION_STACK_OVERFLOW

Try placing the web_set_max_html_param_len() in one place only - the vuser_init section adn increase its size. I suspect this will not clear the issue. You will need to scrutinize the logs with full trace enabled. You might also file a SR.

    Re: System Exceptions: EXCEPTION_STACK_OVERFLOW

    Thanks Jake.

Initially I tried placing at init() part with a sufficiently large value but with out any improvement.

I am filing an SR now.

    Re: System Exceptions: EXCEPTION_STACK_OVERFLOW

Known bug, disable all logging and run the tests. There might be something called runtime index or sometime like that in vugen.ini file, give the value as 0 over there.
Myabe you can also increase the default value in correlation.xml file rather than giving in the script.
This issue is more related to logging than anyother stuff.Vugen sometiems do not handle big values.
