We are using Jira to log defects and QC 9.2 to document Req's/Test Plan and Test execution.I am concerning about how to integrate Jira and QC to track the defects by customizing any of them.Any ideas will be helpful...
Re: Customize QC/Jira to integrate and track defects
DB bought Go2Group JaM JIRA plug-in.
Excellent out of the box. Works with Unicode UTF16.
Does bi-directional sync and requiremetns between JIRA and QC.
We tried ORASI, it was OK, but it was not quite as good. And it was $40,000 USD.
go2group JaM was $1,995USD. Easy to get approved spending on corporate credit card. We bought two, one for Tokyo and one for Gemany. German side had some parts running on Linux.
go2group support was excellent, very nice to work with.
They have a new version, 5.0 We upgraded on a pre-release. If it is not availble, ask them.
The new things is easy install now, and JaM handles requiremetns from QC.
We are using them for test work in their Peiking office. Good and cheap. We are starting to migrate some to automation, they are doing OK on this. We have five go2group engineer in our Tokyo office. Thier enginener are Japanese and American. They are good at QC and JIRA, good software engineer. They integrate with our Perforce for me.
We now invite them bid on every software project.
The price was good and support is best. I can not talk enough for it.
My German office is very happy too.
