Copied prod QC DB\'s to test - need help, HP no use
Hello there, hoping someone here has dealt with this before, as HP support has been no help.
What we did was copy our production database to test so that we had a good mirror of our data for testing the 9.0 -> 9.2 upgrade.
What we are finding is that the QC 9.0 installation we are trying to do in test is failing at 99% due to the following error:
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
"The installer failed to set up the Database
com.mercury.optane.core.CTdException: Failed to create Site Admin database"
My understanding is that there may be pointers in the database copy that may be trying to reference to prod environment, causing the test installation to fail.
Has anyone had a similar issue to this before?
HP support is hurting us at best on this issue, as their suggestions are just making things worse.

I haven't seen your error message, but I constantly work with copies of projects in staging environments.
What do you mean by copy the DB?
Did you create a copy of your project using the SiteAdmin and then exported to a QCP file? Once you do this you are able to restore the file into your staging environment and the system handles all pointers.
I found that doing this is the easiest way to work.
