SQL comms/script for entering version numbers?
I've been pondering a way to enter versions (i.e. Detected In Version, system field BG_DETECTION_VERSION) to QC projects with less effort than writing everything up through Project Entities.
Currently we have several test projects with changing needs for version numbers and entering them manually just won't do. So I ask if there's a way to enter these version numbers with simple SQL commands or scripts?
I haven't got much knowledge about databases and even less about SQL comms, so keep it simple.

Not knowing your exact situation is difficult to know if the SQL below will help.
Unless you are experienced I don't feel comfortable having you add fields through the backend (the database). Do you have a DBA assigned to your project?
Some updates or changes can be run from the System administrator SQL console.
UPDATE SYSTEM_MINE_FIELD SET ST_IS_SEARCHABLE='N' WHERE ST_TABLE_NAMES='RUN' AND ST_IS_SEARCHABLES='Y'
That is to Change the System_Mine_Field to the value "N" for every record where the field ST_Table_Names are equal to "RUN" and the field ST_IS_Searchable is equal to "Y".
Probably better to talk with your DBA.
