I have installed Dashboard with QC9.2, all is good. Now when I go to tools->dashboard, I get a login prompt for dashboard with message login failed. I looked high and low to see if I can configure the dashboard, no dice.
Well, I got the iso for QC9.2 and in it was also Dashboard. I did not see anywhere Dashboard admin/maintain prompt. While installing there was a prompt for a system account of admin account to access QC db.
Can I reset now directly from Dashboard?
the first time you use Dashboard you have to sign in using user: dd_admin
if such user doesn't exist , then ask your QC Admin to create it for you.
after you sign in successfully you can add your self from within Dashboard.

I wanted to share this experience with dashboard for those who may face this issue.
I could not log into dashboard with dd_admin or with my own userid (QC is LDAP enabled) and I added myself to the userlist from the db.
It was because of Invalid data in the QC siteadmin users table. There were a few records which had an invalid character (not sure how it got there) that looks like a small box/square. Once those records were cleaned up I was able to log in as dd_admin (with QC authentication set to QualityCenter) add myself as the admin and then turn LDAP authentication on - and log in as myself.
