Is it possible to install Quality Center 9.2 using Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 or does the install have to be done with Service Pack 1? Everything I have seen does not mention Service Pack 2 and I was hoping that someone out there had tried this.
That is a tricky one to answer. At times, especially with the automated tools, a service pack can cause isssues with use and installation. It isn't something I have seen with Quality Center and have always looked at the spec they publish as "minimal requirements" more than "set requirements".
I haven't any direct experience with the installation on the configuration you state, but for me, I wouldn't think it would be an issue.
What you can do is try to install it, as one thing QC has been good for over time is they will tell you that you can't install on the OS configuration early int he process if it isn't supported.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results
That's what I'm curious to know as all the documentation available states SP1 but SP2 only came out this past March so I'm wondering if the documentation just hasn't caught up yet to include this. I'm hoping someone has actually tried to install QC under these conditions.
