Re: Integration of star team with QC

To do anything in QC, you have to get your requirements ported over or "synced" to the original requirement source. Are you really storing requirements in StarTeam, or are you using Borland's Req tool Caliber? Caliber has some features to export requirements to Quality Center after the integration is setup.

    Patterson,

Thanks for your response.the requirements are directly created in the star team .we are not using any Borland's Req tool Caliber tool.Is there any chance to connect the requirements directly to the requirement module in the QC.Its tedious process to manually post the requirements into QC inorder to sync with star team
    Many Thanks

Re: Integration of star team with QC

StarTeam has an open API (although I've never used it), and Quality Center has one too. Your best bet is to write some code that will read the data from StarTeam and sync it to QC. I've built a tool that does that with CaliberRM, and it worked well. You'll just need to determine if it's more time to create the tool than to manually sync the requirements.

    Good luck!
