Running QTP Scripts stored in CVS through QC
This is my first post in QC. I recently joined as a QC Administrator. I came to know that, as of now they are storing QTP scripts in CVS as a database of scripts and for version controlling. Even after installing QC and customized it according to their needs, they still wanted to place the scripts in CVS and they said, it is a requirement and must to have the version control. They asked me to find out the possible way to run the scripts through QC, which are stored in CVS. QC has to get the scripts from CVS to run. Earlier, I used to store and Run in QC it self.
IF anybody has any clues/answers in this regard, please do post.
Re: Running QTP Scripts stored in CVS through QC
I am not completely sure how CVS works in terms of controlling it externally through a Script. But in case it can be manipulated through Java Script/VBScript then you can use VAPI-XP script in QC to download the scripts from QC and then run and output results to a another test set in QC.
It's just another option...you might have other ways as well.
