I have tried to search this forum but I could not get information for my question.
I have QC 9.0 and lots of manual type of test cases have been generated in the Test Plan. Now the plan is to Automate them using QTP, and use them in the test Lab to run. My initial Idea was to Automate my QTP scripts in the Local File System. And then saving a copy of it in the QC.But when I try to save existing QTP script into the QC it saves it as a new test script in the Test Plan tree , rather than adding it to the existing test in the QC . Is there a way to save my QTP script to an existing Manual Test in the Test Plan of the QC ?
Can someone please suggest me,where I am doing mistake.
Re: Saving Existing QTP scripts to QC Test Scripts !
there is an icon just over the first test step of every test case that allows you to convert a manual test case into an automated (QTP type). Try roll over the mouse and you will see a hint saying "Generate Script". Before doing that you must have installed the QTP plugin
