I am able to see the Buisness Component option in MQC. And i have already seen the Mercury Related document what i am thinking is that at which area it will help me. The Help file gives me the all details how to use it but i am more consern about the Use of this with my QTP. We usually do the descriptive programming. I don't know how it will help me in that. If you just explain me what does exactly it too then i can go ahead and have a look in to this. Just give me one example where i can use this with QTP and it what are the benifits of using this.
Thanks in Advance
akii - have you read the manuals that shipped with QC, not just the help file?
It goes into how to set it up, the benefits it gives you, and examples. All you are asking for is there.
For how it helps you directly, I can't answer that as 1) I don't know your skill level (which I am not thinking to highly of when you aren't reading all the information that is already provided to you) 2) Have no clue about your application, or the technology it is developed in, 3) what your company culture is to implement change, 4) your company's maturity level with testing..........
It is something you need to research on your own and determine the benefits and costs associated with implementing and determine if it is worth the time and effort (work and training) to implement this option, and determine if your management will pay for the option.
BPT is just like a framework where you create reusable components and then plug them together to create Business process test. Well for advantages of BPT you should be aware disadvantages of other techniques and then do a comparison. Ads Tony said it would be hard to explain everything, so it needs researching from your side.
