Dynamically running QTP scripts from QC -any order

    Hi,

I am facing few issues in implementing a solution for Automation

Requirement : End user should be allowed to select the QTP script in any order from QC (Valid flow order only) and can executed it.

To implement the above stratergy we are facing issues in handling GUI repository and data sheets dynamically

Please provide some pointer to resolve this issue

Note : Please let me know if you are not able to understand the above issue clearly

    Regards,
    Senthil

    Your issue is unclear.

This can be done when by filtering or selecting the tests with CTRL key pressed in the test set and clicking the run button.

Now you are mixing your query with something which is totally different thing from your point 1. You need put more details on what your exact problem is about.

First it says in any order, then it says valid flow order only. That my friend is a contradiction of statements. The requirement is no good.
However, if each test is written in such a manner as to clean up after itself and when it starts it configures the system as needed for the test, then each test can be run in any sequence. Whereas if the test set was set up in the "valid flow order", the tests can be run in the proper sequence by running the test set. Writing a test script which will setup and cleanup is very good practice. It takes a little longer initially but will save a lot of time later on.

HINT: The setup & cleanup could be a called function so there is only one script to change when the application changes.
