We're looking to migrate from one project to another (for version control). We know we can migrate the test plans over, but we've been advised that the test lab tests will not migrate over to the new project. I've searched online help and it seems to me that under the copy/customization feature, that selecting test sets will do this (and by not selecting Runs, that we will not copy over the test lab results.)Is this correct?
I believe it is. But for safety, I would recommend you try it first. That is the best method and it won't take long to find out. You won't affect the project you are copying from and you can always delete the new project or keep it and find another method.
Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

Thanks RichW. Unfortunately, we dont have access to do that, as there is a team that manages the repositories. We were trying to see if a resource needed to be allocated to create about 500 test lab folders and copy over the tests.
I'll report back when they run the migration so that others can know.
Yes, they plan on using the wizard. I'm just waiting to be notified of the start time.
I was surprised to hear that the test lab wouldnt be brought over. Then when I didnt see any posts in the forum, I thought it must be possible, as I'm sure there would be others who dont want to recreate their test lab plans!
How do you find the time to peruse over here too?!
If the project is not too big, try to make an exact duplicate of original via the Site Admin "Select Test and TestSets". Then with newly copied project, delete anything that you dont need. All the link should be in place.
