QC, QTP and addins
When I launch QTP from QC, it does not load in any addins that I require for my testing.
I know you can launch the standard QTP - manage the add ins when the Addin Manager is displayed, save the created test case to QC and then enter QTP through QC and it all works out.
I am hoping for a way to specify the add ins without first going into the standard QTP.
Re: QC, QTP and addins
The QTP test itself stores the addins that are necessary for that test to execute. When you create a new test, it automatically stores the addins that were loaded when you launched QTP. You can view the addins needed by a test by..
- Open the test in QTP
- Select 'File -> Settings...' from the main menu
- Select the 'Properties' tab
The 'Associated add-ins' section tells you which addins are associated with the test, and you can click the 'Modify...' button to adjust the configuration.
When you use QC to execute or open a QTP test, it is supposed to load the addins that are configured for the test (as indicated above). If you're not seeing this, I suggest you contact HP support.
