Running scheduled QTP tests via QC

    Hi All,

For the life of me I cant get this right, and beginning to assume the functionality cannot do this.

Ive got a QTP script that I want to run in the early hours of the morning. So basically its saved in QC and I put a scheduler on it. Time & Date but it never runs...

Am I missing something here...is this scheduler in QC used for something else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Do you have the add-in scheduler which is available to download from Mercury Support?

Sorry for jumping in here but I am having the same problem. I went to the website and could not find that add-in scheduler. Can you please give me a more direct path to this add-in. Also what exactly does this add-in do? Thanks for all of the help.

QC 9.2 has an official scheduler built in, I understand. I currently am unable to access the support site, perhaps someone else can give you the info.

Re: Running scheduled QTP tests via QC

I have already done this. The problem is that it will not automatically run on it own. Do I have to be logged in for the auto test to run or does the app have to be up. What are the requirements for the automated test to run?

Thanks for all of the help.

Re: Running scheduled QTP tests via QC

I just discovered a "QCScheduler" by Quicken Loans on Mercury Support under QC download section. Might want to give it a whirl. Works on local and remote. Only problem I've seen is when it exits. Basically crashes the IE.

QCScheduler by Quicken Loans is not compatible with the latest version of Quality Center 9.2. I've tried it without success.

You have to be logged in to the remote machine for the test to run. Also make sure that the Remote Agent service is not already running on the remote machine. When you execute an automated test on the remote machine this service starts. Two instances of this service running will cause problems.

You also have to make sure there isn't a time out for users in QC.
