In Quality Center i created a folder and attached QTP scripts to this folder. If i want to take the backup of these QTP scripts from QC to local drive, i have to save each attached script into local directory which is tedious task as there are lot of scripts in this folder. Is there any feature or procedure to take the backup of those scripts from QC in one shot?? please suggest..
You can write a VBScript program using the QTP Automation model.
Have a look at the AutomationObjectModel.chm file and, especially at the examples "Connect to Quality Center" (it shows how to connect to QC and open a test script stored in QC) and "Save a Test with a New Name" (it shows how to save the opened test under a new name, which can be on your local file system).
My very first post.
Christian (or anyone),
In setting up a loop to back up many tests is it possible using the automation model objects to get the names (or the paths) of all the tests? I've had a look and don't see how it can be done. What other options are there - without manually creating the list?
David, excellent question, however what you have done is called hijacking the thread. If you wish to ask a new question, please start your own thread. Also please read the FAQ's listed under FAQ at the top of the Home page.
