Dashboard login when running behind a firewall
I am installing the Mercury Dashboard application included with the Quality Center and I have being able to make it run. However, I still have an issue that I have not being able to solve and I would like to see if some of you have faced it.
The Dashboard application shows again the login page when I click on any link on the menu bar and I need to provide my credentials again to see the requested page. After some investigation we found this only happens when we have running the firewall software that blocks connections on most of the ports.
If we open port 8080 the problem is no longer present, but we want to keep it close because that would give user's direct access to the Jboss port. Do you know if it is possible to solve the problem by updating some configuration file so that we don't need to open that port?
Re: Dashboard login when running behind a firewall
In case anyone else faces this problem in the future, I just found the cause of it. It was not the ports being closed but because of the coockies not working since my server name had an underscore.
I still need to figure out what to do but accessing the server by IP or with Firefox does not present the problem.
