May I know how I could find out if there are any test cases in the Test Plan modules that have not been covered by a test requirement. I mean are there any reports that I can make use of to locate the test case with missing coverage.
It is found that I can only find out if a test requirement is being covered by test cases in the Reqirement Module using the Coverage Analysis. I would like to know if I can also do the similar in Test Plan modules for test cases.
Are you looking for the "Create a list of unmapped tests" report? If you look at the buttons right above the tree view in Test Plan, there is a button that looks like a green floppy with the Excel logo on the bottom. Clicking this button creates an Excel spreadsheet with a list of test that are not covered by requirements.
It is a zip file which contains an HTM file. If you open the HTM file with an HTM/L editor you will see that it is a query script which works from a Web screen which will audit your QC/TD db for several different relationships related to test cases. This is a professional Forum, I don't think you will get anything nasty here, but it is your choice.
tmarshallva, for your information :
I posted the original HTM file on the HP-Mercury User Contributed Knowledge Base 2 years ago (Id = 7126). You can download it from there if you feel that the HP-Mercury support site is "safer" than this one.
If you do so, and find it useful, you also can rate it
