I just came across this website, it's extremely useful! good job!
I have been trying to solve the following problem for a month now. I hope someone can guide me on this.
I am trying to copy the test cases from the test plan in one database into another database. Some of these test cases have hyperlinks in steps (which call a common test case). So when I copy-paste (Ctrl+C & Ctrl+V), these hyperlinks are lost and I have to find the testcases (common) again in the new database to recreate the hyperlinks (recreate the specific step again).
Has anyone else experienced the same problem? Any inputs will be greatly appreciated!
I would tag each test case name with some sort of id, like maybe an alphanumeric and part of the name. Then you could write a query to retrieve the new TC ID's and match them with the original TC Name tag. There are several approaches to work around this Mercury Feature.
